Objective: Create a cutscene following along with a directors notes

Sometimes when making a game you will not always get an exact design implementation when creating a cutscene. In my instance I have a rough sketch and some noted to work through to create the directors vision.

Here you can see the sketches and notes that I worked off to create the cutscene.

This would normally be a back and forth between you and the game director to really narrow down the cutscene and cameras angles once you have a starting point for them to look at.

Above you can see the finished edit I made from the directors notes.

Your game director would then give you feedback on your work to make changes.

First you would determine the number of cameras that are need for your shot. From the notes I chose two cameras to work with and set them up with the initial shots.

I then animated the cameras by adjusting the starting and ending positions and then using the animation system to create a pan effect.

You can read my other articles to find out how you can create your own cutscenes using Cinemachine in Unity.
